Montserrat Bustos Hernández has degree in Geography (2010) and a master’s degree in Spatial Planning: Information, Tools and Methods (2012). She is currently PhD Candidate in Tourism and Leisure with the support of a doctoral fellowship from the Rovira i Virgili University. 

Her research focuses on geographical information systems applications in the urban study: urban growth, morphology, uses and development of complex urban structures in the coastal tourist destinations.

Among her more recent publications there are: “Desarrollo de un modelo integrado en un SIG para evaluar la idoneidad turística en función de las características ambientales del territorio.” (2010).
