Antonio Paolo Russo, born 1968, Venice (Italy), is assistant professor in the Department of Geography, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, and Research Director of the Science & Technology Park of Tourism of Tarragona. Previous appointments were with the Erasmus University Rotterdam (where he received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2002), the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona and IULM University Milan. His research interests range from tourism studies to cultural and urban economics and planning. He is author of various publications in academic journals and books in these fields, and has been involved in a large number of research projects and international networks, among which, the recent ESPON “ATTREG” project (2010-2013), of which he main coordinator.
